Mirror Of Deception is German doom metal band. Biography Alongside with Dawn Of Winter, Mirror Of Deception is Germany's the longest running traditional doom act, formed in 1990. The band was formed by guitarist Jochen Fopp and the second guitarist (and now also a vocalist) Michael Siffermann.Mirror Of Deception were a unsigned demo band during all 90s (with exception of one released EP titled Veil Of Lead), but achieved a cult underground status in their homeland. Their demo works from these days are later released as Past & Present compilation.Debut album Mirrorsoil was released 2001 and received a lot of positive feedback from fans and critics and helped the band to achieve a cult status within underground doom and heavy metal audience, not only in Germany for the first time. After the releasing of the album and a tour, Mirror Of Deception parted ways with their original singer Markus Baumhauer and guitarist Michael Siffermann took the vocal duties.
