Although it is arguable that the events of the Bible may not be entirely chronological, the Bible describes Hagar as the Egyptian maidservant of Sarah Genesis 25:12 who was ordered by Sarah to act as her and her husband Abraham's serogate in order to bear them their first child Ishmael, because Sarah thought she was infertile Genesis16:1-12. Another Biblical support for the belief that Keturah and Hagar are not one in the same is that, according to the Bible, Keturah bore Abraham several sons Genesis 25:1-2, while Hagar only bore him the one before she was cast out of the home by Sarah who bec
