Meanstreak Biography

Meanstreak is an all-female heavy/thrash metal band from Westchester, New York, formed in 1985.They consist of Rena Petrucci (guitar), Marlene Portnoy (guitar), Bettina France (vocals), Lisa Martens Myung (bass guitar) and Yael Devan (drums). Meanstreak released one album titled Roadkill. Today the band is in a hiatus period. Meanstreak played some gigs as the supporting band to bands such as Manowar, Overkill, Motörhead, Anthrax, and Dream Theater.Three of Meanstreak members are married to Dream Theater members: Rena to John Petrucci, Marlene to Mike Portnoy, and Lisa Martens to John Myung.
