Go Betty Go is an all-girl punk rock band from Los Angeles consisting of Emily Wynne-Hughes (vocals), Aixa Vilar (drums), and Betty Cisneros (guitar). The band formed in Glendale, California in 2001 and originally consisted of Betty Cisneros, Michelle Rangel, and the sisters, Aixa and Nicolette Vilar. Their Latina origins influences their music, most obviously are the Spanish lyrics, which they often use.
Career
Following their well-received debut EP Worst Enemy in 2004, Go Betty Go continued their impressive rise with a series of non-stop coast-to-coast appearances, not the least notable of which was inclusion on the Warped Tour. Their music is featured in a range of media, from commercials, films and TV shows like Punk'd, One Tree Hill, Spring Break: The Movie and The Entertainment Tonight Insider, to video games such as Takedown, University, and Fantastic Four, for which the band wrote an original track.
