"Drowned" is a song by The Who. It was released on the group's 1973 rock opera album Quadrophenia. While Roger Daltrey sang lead vocals in the studio version and in live versions from 1973 through 1975, after Keith Moon's death the song was heavily reworked, with Pete Townshend singing vocals from 1979 through 1982. More modern renditions are essentially solo Townshend performances, usually featuring an extended, frenetic acoustic guitar workout. In the 1990s, the song was covered heavily by Phish in concert, becoming a fan favorite often exceeding ten minutes.1973 songsThe Who songs
