Discordia is the Roman goddess of strife. Her Greek counterpart is Eris, her Greek opposite is Harmonia, whose Latin counterpart is Concordia.Eris is frequently referred as Discordia (or Eris Discordia) in Discordianism.
Discordia in popular culture
Discordia is frequently referenced in the latter volumes of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, appearing in the story primarily as an abstract ideal rather than being personified as an actual character.
She also appeared on the television series " the Legendary Journeys" and on its spin-offs, " Warrior Princess" and "Young Hercules", under the name Discord. Her son Strife (see Iliad, above) also appears on the three shows, often in the company of Ares, though he is never explicitly stated to be the goddesses' son on-air in any of the three shows, merely the nephew of Ares. Discord was portrayed by New Zealand actress Meighan Desmond.
