Disappearer Biography

"Disappearer" was the second single from Sonic Youth's 1990 album Goo. It was released in 1990 on DGC. Tracklisting "Disappearer" (edit) "Disappearer" (8-track demo version) "That's All I Know (Right Now)" "Dirty Boots" (8-track demo long version) "That's All I Know (Right Now)" was previously released on the Kool Thing single. Music Video The music video for Disappearer was directed by Todd Haynes. The beginning of the video shows the band wearing drag while evading the police, and then inside a car driving at night on the streets of Toronto, Canada. Trivia The artwork on the cover and inside the fold-out booklet of the CD maxi-single is by Raymond Pettibon. Curiously, "Disappearer", while released as a single, was almost never played live.
